Press Release: Launch of the European Roundtable for Global Health
European Roundtable for Global Health is a new high-level initiative bringing together leaders across politics, business and research to strengthen the case for global health as a European strategic priority. The Roundtable works to ensure that global health and development are part of the decisions shaping Europe’s future and to promote investment in health as a prerequisite for security, resilience, competitiveness and international partnerships.
The initiative is led by two Co-Chairs:
Marisol Touraine, former French Minister of Social Affairs, Health and Women’s Rights and former Chair of Unitaid’s Executive Board.
Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen, former CEO of Novo Nordisk and Chair of the Board of Directors, Healthcare Denmark.
The Roundtable is supported by a Secretariat comprising the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), the Danish Alliance for Global Health, Economist Enterprise and rani (Resilience Action Network International).
